Controlled Nuclear Fusion Reactor
The basic design of a Controlled Nuclear Fusion
Reactor is described in figure 9.26.

The neutrons are ejected in the nuclear fusion reaction into all
directions.
If a flowing "blanket" of liquid Lithium
surrounds the core of the reactor, the ejected neutrons will collide with
the lithium and transfer their energy to the liquid.
The liquid Lithium temperature will rise, and later by using heat exchanger
the heat energy can operate turbine to produce electricity.

The width of the Lithium "blanket" is about 0.5 - 1.5 [m].

The collisions of neutrons with Lithium can cause a nuclear reaction,
which produce Tritium for the nuclear fuel:
