Building a Web site:

The goal of the “Laser Adventure” is to give teachers and students easy access to a substantive and entertaining course on laser science, technology and applications.

Creating an interactive Web site in English has provided a way to increase the audience for the textbook, and to take advantage of the interactive hypertext format.

The site (http://www.phys.ksu.edu/perg/vqm/laserweb) now contains all the chapters expanded from the original material, along with interactive applets and navigation features.

It will, in time, contain movies and animation, still images, interactive virtual lab experiments, and many pages of text arranged by topic. This article will describe some of the processes and decisions we made while developing this site.
